I would break a short phrase into a pulse, a few notes, and one comfortable movement before asking for the whole passage.

We would try it slowly, listen back to the result in the room, and choose one adjustment that makes the phrase sound more like the learner intended.

I would leave space for the learner to experiment with touch and timing, because musical choices matter alongside correct notes.
